Example hits up Asylum

This month, Example is bringing his monstrous UK tour to Hull! His unique blend of electronic infused pop and hip-hop will be showcased in full in his highly rated live show. The gig, which was previously billed to take place at Hull City Hall, is now coming to our very doorstep in the University’s own venue, Asylum. The tour, coming off the back of the release of his latest album ‘Live Life Living’, is promised to include singles from this most recent release as well as all the hits and fan favourites from his back catalogue, including Kickstarts and Changed the Way You Kissed Me.

The rapper, singer songwriter, whose real name is Elliot Gleave (his stage name being a play on his initials) has changed the tone of his music over his last five studio albums, but has generally stayed faithful to a mix of rap, house and dubstep as well as more pop flavoured tunes. 2011’s ‘Playing in the Shadows’, his most successful album to date, has a slightly darker (but no less energetic) feel to the lively offering of his latest album. His live show is bound to reflect this with a mix of floor fillers and pop hits such as his oldies Won’t Go Quietly and Hooligans, and new single All the Wrong Places.

This is the first time that Example has played in Hull in recent years and you never know when he’ll be back. This opportunity cannot be missed!

Tickets are now on sale for the gig on Sunday the 23rd November at 7:00pm. Tickets are £27.50. All tickets bought for gig at Hull City Hall are valid at Asylum.
